Placing Your Order


Acceptable Master Tapes

World Replication Group pricing includes basic mastering from original source masters in the following formats:

CD-R & Exabyte

We can also provide mastering at an additional charge in the following formats:

1/4” Analog 2 Track
Dat Master at 44.1 kHz

Regardless of format supplied, your master source must be level matched and song sequenced with proper timed spacing between selections. World Replication Group does not provide equalization level adjustment or spacing unless specifically requested. Additional charges will apply for editing and equalization.
All masters submitted for production must be accompanied by an accurate time log listing of all selections as they occur on the master with times.

Supplying Printing Film

Film Specifications for Booklet & Tray Card

All film must be 150 or 175 line negative, emulsion down, right reading.

All film must be final composite film and fit our layout grids, including bleeds where applicable.

All packaging is printed and created in 4 color process. (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black)

A color proof created from your final negatives must be submitted with your film.

All final composite film must clearly indicate the color on each piece of fim and have registration marks indicated on all four sides.

If your designer or film house requires additional information or layout grids, please have them call cour Customer Service Department directly.

Film Specifications for CD Label

The maximum screen value for CD Labeling is 100 line.

Velox or Vandyke proofs of your label film clearly indicating PMS color breaks must be supplied with your Film.

Film for CD Label imprint must the label grid and be suplied as positive, emulsion up, right reading. The process used for imprinting the label is Silk Screen.

Up to % color label printing (screen method) or offset printing in 4 color process is also available for your CD label. Please call our Customer Service Department for additional information and pricing.

Colors may not reproduce when over printed and should be dropped out of the base color.

We do not recommend type less than 6 point and suggest Sans Serif typefaces for maximum sharpness and reproduction.

Graphic Design Service


Our creative in-house art professionals have been designing audio packaging for over thirty years. We have created thousands of commercially attractive and successful packaging concepts to please even the most discriminating client. We know the music business! We know packaging trends and we know how to make your packaging compliment your music for maximum commercial appeal. Using state of the art computer graphics and design techniques, we can take your rough ideas and create superb packaging to enhance your musical accomplishment. To help us meet your every expectation, we suggest you follow these guidelines to expedite your project and obtain maximum success.

All copy for your packaging should be submitted in typewritten form.

Photos to be used in black and white should be submitted in black and white print format.

If you do not want all subject matter or image of a photo submitted used, please make a copy and indicate the area you wish used

If you would like a green background or perhaps red type, assist us in choosing the right color by sending a sample of the shade with your notes.

If you use a distinctive style of lettering for logos or headings, please send us a sample to assist us in meeting your objectives.

Color photos should be submitted as prints. Color transparencies should have an accompanying color print. For maximum color reproduction, we do not recommend Polaroid or Instant Color

The “Compact Disc Digital Audio” logo MUST be seen clearly on the disc.

For total satisfaction, we will submit to you a proof of your packaging before production begins. This proof must be completely checked for accuracy before being returned. Changes to original copy supplied or additions / deletions to original copy supplied may require new proofs, cause delays, and add extra charges. Make sure you thoroughly double check all copy against your original to avoid unnecessary delays and expense.


 

The “Compact Disc Digital Audio” logo MUST be seen clearly on the disc.

The "Dolby" logo must be seen clearly on the cassette.

With your files, you must include:


All artwork files/scans MUST be high resolution, 300 dpi or greater. Low Resolution (72 dpi) files/photos used from the internet, will not reproduce well. Therefore we cannot
guarantee the quality of the final printed product.


Directory of files and a colour print of all files to be used for our reference. Disks must be marked with software and version used.


Screen and printer postscript fonts of all typefaces used in your project.


Most software programs allow you to import artwork (logos, graphics etc.) created in other software programs. If you have used the “Import” or “Place” command to bring images into your artwork file, please include the original document used to create the imported TIFF or EPS file. All linked graphics ( TIFF, PDF or EPS ) are required.


Files must include an 1/8” to 1/4” bleed on all colour backgrounds or photos, to outside of the actual printing area.


All colour must be supplied in CMYK format. (Not RGB)


Eliminate all unnecessary elements in your file including extraneous colours, patterns and layers, etc.


For halftones, provide a grayscale image.


Be sure the print-out of your artwork is 100% of scale, and includes a full colour print.

Full color printouts must accompany your computer artwork files, and be 100% of scale, or
EXTRA charges will apply.
